Volleyball is a summer sport played in Terms 1 and 4. This is a competitive league played on various nights at Saxton Stadium, Stoke, Nelson including Secondary School tournaments. There are also a number of two-day tournaments for Seniors and Juniors that happen throughout the summer terms as well. Fees for these tournaments will vary.
Teams are Junior and Senior grades for males and females. Training for all teams is held in the school gym.
Term 1 commences from February to April.
Senior Tournaments:
Regional - Tasman Secondary Senior (TSS)
SISS - Senior 'A' teams only
NZSS - Senior 'A' teams only
Term 4 commence from October to December.
Junior Tournaments:
Regional -Tasman Secondary Schools Junior (TSS)
SISS - Junior 'A' teams only
Costs for various tournaments:
Regionals - $25.00 (transport & entry fee)
SISS - approx $700.00 (Depending on location). (Transport, accommodation, entry, food) (without fundraising).
NZSS - $1000.00 (Palmerston North) (Transport, accommodation, entry, food)(without fundraising)
Uniforms - All teams issued with MHS playing tops (wear your own black shorts)
